Leqembi (Lecanemab)
On January 6th, 2023, the FDA granted accelerated approval for Leqembi (lecanemab), the second FDA-approved therapy for Alzheimer's disease; it received full traditional approval in July 2023. Leqembi specifically targets the protofibrils that cluster together and form the protein plaque beta-amyloid 42.
Memory Treatment Centers was one of the first practices in the United States to infuse Leqembi, and is actively infusing today.
Kisunla (Donanemab)
On July 2nd, 2024, the FDA granted full traditional approval for Kisunla (donanemab), a fully FDA-approved therapy for Alzheimer's disease that specifically targets the protein plaque beta-amyloid 42.
The approval of donanemab allows healthcare providers like neurologists and neurocognitive specialists to continue to be proactive with treating and slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
